The “9/11 Art Space” Foundation undertakes actions aimed at propagation of fine art and broadly understood culture, including preservation and popularisation of the crucial achievements in visual arts. The activities of the Foundation focuses on documenting and archiving of work of the outstanding Polish artists, as well as on publishing.
A particular field of the Foundation’s activity is digitalisation and creation of an archive comprising the photographic oeuvre of Bronisław Schlabs, which bore fruit in the shape of the 2011 catalogue Schlabs poszukujący. Fotografia z lat 1952-1957, as well as an extensive monograph discussing the artist’s work, Bronisław Schlabs. Krok w nowoczesność, published in 2012.
The Foundation also continues work on the artistic legacy of Marek Włodarski (Henryk Streng), remaining at the disposal of the artist’s family, whose greater part has already been catalogued and digitalised.
The Foundation organized or co-organized such exhibitions as Roberto Matta. Infrarealismo (2010), Fortunata Obrąpalska. Between Pictorialism and Experiment (2014), Antoni Starczewski. Artist and the Universe (2015), Andrzej Matuszewski (2015, Triple Witching Hour (2016), Lady in the Mirror. Female Art Strategies in the 1970s (2017), Teresa Tyszkiewicz. The Common and the Uncommon Pin (2018), Włodzimierz Borowski. So what? Nothing. Exactly (2018), Hanna Łuczak. Time. History. Memory (2019).

Until 2010, “9/11 Art Space” Foundation functioned as Fundacja Pro Arte. At present, the Foundation continues its activities under a changed name, as “9/11 Art Space” Foundation.
